It’s after dinner and I’m terribly craving something sweet but want it to be quick and easy to make so I can eat it before it gets too late in the night. I came across this easy and delicious looking microwave brownie recipe over at Averie Cooks, and after confirming I had all the ingredients on hand, I got to work.
The recipe is extremely easy, I just added all the ingredients to a glass bowl, mixed together, and then microwaved somewhere around 1 1/2-2 minutes. To make this bowl brownie, you need the following ingredients:
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened natural cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil (I used Avocado Oil)
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch salt, to taste
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- • ⅓ cup chocolate chips (optional)
I didn’t have any chocolate chips on hand so I omitted those, and I only had Avocado Oil so I used that in place. I love how straightforward this recipe is, and the brownie came out sooo fluffy and rich! My only complaint is that it was a bit too sweet for me so I would use less sugar next time. All in all this recipe was made in a pinch and definitely appeased my sweet tooth!
