Shift For Good written by Tory Johnson, #1 New York Times Bestseller of The Shift, and a contributor of the good Morning America Show. She writes about her life and how she thought it would be better after she lost 62 pounds in just one year. When the period of weightloss lost its glow, Tory realized she had much more to work on in her life, than just losing weight. She began to search for other ways to improve her life and found herself applying the principles from her book, The Shift, and found more joy in everything around her; Relationships deepening, doors opening, and more opportunities in every direction, by taking 'simple, small, and persistent actions'.
I have enjoyed reading Shift For Good and love how real Tory Johnson is in her writing. Sharing her journey in weightloss and learning to live a happier life, not just through what she thought weightloss would be, but also in making bigger changes for herself as a person, becoming happier in her own world. I always think the same things Tory thought "I'll be so much happier when I loose this weight" but reading her story, as a person with the experience, you begin to learn that losing weight isn't going to change every single thing in your life. Sure it will make you happier in some aspects, but you will still be fighting some of your own inner demons that you faced before. Until you make a Shift For Good in your mindset and outlook on life, you may still be struggling with things you thought losing weight would change. Tory encourages the reader with helpful tips and simple changes you can make that will give you lasting joy inside and out.
