Support Farmers and Shop Fair Trade Certified

As a member of Klout, I received a box of Fair Trade perks to review, that included: 

Dillanos Coffee Roasters whole bean coffee, Tony's Coffee whole beans, Fair Trade Certified Klean Kanteen bottle, Alter Eco Dark Salted Burnt Caramel Organic Chocolate Bar, UNREAL Candies, and a Fair Trade chapstick.  How exciting!

Coffee and Chocolate! 

You may wonder, what exactly is Fair Trade? Well when you purchase Fair Trade products, you are supporting farmers and many other hard working people, by buying their products and improving their lives. Fair Trade allows farmers to earn fair wages, work in safe conditions, and protect the environment, all while keeping their children in school. It's such a good system, you can help families in 70 countries just buy purchasing products you normal would! Being Fair Trade Certified also means you are getting better quality products that are better for you, and the environment.

When first receiving the box, I dived in to the chocolate, of course. The first was an UNREAL Peanut Butter Cup with Quinoa. A wonderful tasting candy that is so much better for you then Reeses, and the added quinoa gives it a little crunch, much like rice crispies do in a Chocolate crunch bar. Then we had the original peanut butter UNREAL bar, one for me and one for my son. Loved this one also! 

With Alter Eco's Dark Salted Burnt Caramel Organic Chocolate Bar, I made a delicious and creamy peanut butter banana shake! I added into my blender: 1 1/2 cup of any kind of milk, a big heaping scoop of peanut butter, and 1 1/2 frozen bananas, then broke up some pieces of the Alter Eco bar into the blender, and blended it all together. So easy to make and so delicious! I even tried blending it with a bit of whip cream inside and it came out even creamier. With their being so many options for milk and peanut butter products, you can mix and match to make this recipe really healthy! 

  

 

Dillanos and Tony's Coffee smelled amazing. 

I took these with me when I visited family, so I could share the wealth with them! Each coffee had their own unique flavor, both very light and with a hint of cocoa. I was happy to share them with my family.

I have also been enjoying using my double-wall, vacuum insulated 20oz Klean Kanteen. It keeps coffee hot for up to 6 hours and iced, for more then 24 hours! It is made from high quality 18/8, food grade stainless steel with a 100% stainless interior. And the last piece of my Fair Trade Perks was the Fair Trade lip balm. It is made of a blend of cocoa butter abd high quality organic beeswax, coconut oil, and tea tree peppermint oil. With its minty freshness, this has been the best lip balm I have ever used!

I have loved trying all these amazing Fair Trade Perks! I will be sure to look for more Fair Trade Certified products in stores near me, to help better the world, and support local farmers.
