I really enjoyed this book. Reading all the stories of others experiences in giving really makes you think about how much you yourself give to other people. It's truly encouraging and leaves me wanting to find ways to help others, brightening their day, even if it's just something as simple as genuinely smiling to each person you see. I like how the author explains that you can give to one another, even if you don't have the money to spare. That you don't have to give something drastic to make someone happy. He says, "Of course a gift doesn't need to be as large and expensive as a water heater or an iPhone. Just be mindful to be a blessing.
Sometimes the perfect gift can be something smaller-as small as a banana cream pie."
Just be mindful to be a blessing. That is the best part of the quote. You can be a blessing with just the shirt on your back, the smile on your face, or the help your hands can do. Helping one another starts a ripple affect. This book mentions that a lot as well. You help one person, that person helps another, and so on. We can bring more peace to this world just by opening our hearts to one another and being helpful! There's a lot of encouraging stories in I Like Giving, I really recommend you read this book!

Great book! I will be reading it soon. Thanks so much for the review. Giving has so many positive benefits for both the receiver and the giver! It makes you happier! Have you heard of the book, " Get Balanced, Get Blissed: Nourishment for Body, Mind, and Soul" http://liveblissnow.com/ by author Lynne Goldberg? It will give you inspiration to love your life.
