Snacks From Thailand

Now I didn't go to Thailand...but our local Asian Food Market has several cultural goodies and I love trying a new one each time I go. This time around I picked up some French cookies, Mogu Mogu drinks and some Black Tea, all shipped from Thailand. The IMEI French cookies are wafer circles with a strawberry creme feeling. They have a nice crunch to them and aren't too sweet, and they come in solo packages, with a total of 6 in a box. They were on sale for only $1.70! The downside though...the first cookie I opened had a piece of thick thread wrapped around it... What would you do in this situation? It grossed me out to even try them, but I threw that one away and gave the next cookie a try. The flavor is ok, nothing too sweet, with a wafer that taste a lot like a fortune cookie... I can't say I would buy these cookies again, but I will be on the lookout for something else next time!

The Black Tea Latte is very mild, doesn't have a lot of sweetness but it's good for a day where you kick back with a good book. I like it best cool but some may like it warmed up with a bit of froth atop.

And lastly, these Mogu Mogu drinks They're very sweet but oh so delicious. They come in all kinds of fruity flavors like Mango, Pear, Lychee, ect. The two flavors we bought are Apple and Strawberry. They each contain Nato de Coco pieces, which are chewy and translucent, jello like cubes made from the fermentation of coconut water. These drinks aren't the healthiest because of their high content of sugar and artificial flavoring, but in moderation, they're very tasty.

Awhile back I got myself a nice lunch from the same store, consisting of
Boba Milk Tea and Unagi (eel) and Avocado sushi. Delicious! ---->

What are some cultural foods you like or would like to try?
